falling...

falling asleep at work, falling in love with not being in school, falling behind on posts... Let's make this a two-part post- I'll start with the weekend.

Saturday was shopping day. A lot of things in England remind me of things in Cambridge (MA)-- I guess that's why they call it New England, huh. In an earlier post, I mentioned how Quincy Market is modeled after (and looks exactly like a cheap copy of) a place called Covent Garden here; On Saturday, I walked across this bridge that reminded me a lot of that triangle bridge that goes over the Charles (you know the one down past the Museum of Science?)

They still had some Christmas decorations up along the street where we were shopping

I set out to buy boots, but came back 70 pounds poorer with no boots =( So what did I buy? Some really cute (and useful) flexible cutting boards!

One has a fish, a cow, a chicken, and a carrot so you don't cut the meat/ vegetables on the same board (more sanitary, yay!) and they're nonslip on the bottom! I also bought (get ready for how gimmicky this is...)... tea that is called "be beautiful"

Yes, it's supposed to make you beautiful... I know I'm a sucker, but it was on sale!! >.>;;;;; For lunch, we had burgers (in England.... :P) If anyone tries to tell you they don't have big burgers in Europe, well they're wrong...

Just look at the size of that thing compared to my soda! It's half the height! Okay well my sprite is also like half the size it normally is in the US, but still! Anyway the highlight of the day came at night. This picture does the scene absolutely no justice but...

Big Ben at night is absolutely breathtaking. There was also a full moon that night-- the brightest of the year! Walking around in a big city at night is really nice because there are tons of pretty lights around. This is the London Eye, which is basically the world's largest ferris wheel.

On Sunday I went museum hopping: Started off at The British Museum, then to the Victoria & Albert, then to the Museum of Natural History and finally the Museum of Science....

Oh man its so late at night now have to go to sleep. Sorry I only got through one day, but I'll update latersssss!

Just in case any of you were dying in suspense (which I doubt you are -____-;;), on Tuesday I went to see...
